Space-saving and rack-integrable modules for generating and controlling laser light pulses.
Use AQT’s ROWAN for shaping laser light with arbitrary amplitude, frequency and phase for your research applications.
ROWAN is a compact module consisting of an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) in double-pass configuration. Featuring the control of laser beam intensity, frequency shifting and modulation and generating arbitrary pulse sequences, makes it ideal for quantum information, quantum spectroscopy and quantum metrology applications. ROWAN enables a frequency shift of up to several hundreds of MHz, applicable wavelength ranges from UV to near NIR, transmission efficiency of up to 75% and an extinction ratio of larger than 60dB. Optionally, a mechanical shutter can be used to control the transmission of the 0th order laser beam.
Full Control over amplitude, frequency and phase
AMO experiments rely on the precise control of the frequency, amplitude and phase of the laser light. Applications of our modules reach from switching laser light with less than 1 µs rise time, via pulse shaping, to controlling the phase of coherent light fields.
DID YOU KNOW?
The ROWAN modules are used in our quantum computer PINE System for controlling coherent laser pulses and fits perfectly inside a standardized 19-inch rack. The PINE system requires only 2 full custom racks, runs in a comfortable room temperature environment and requires less than 2kW of power consumption.
