The smallest quantum computer yet
June 2021: The first research paper on the compact ion-trap quantum computing demonstrator that AQT realized in collaboration with the AQTION consortium has now been published in PRX Quantum as an Editor's suggestion.
What the editor refers to as "The Smallest Quantum Computer Yet" is a trapped-ion-based quantum computer that fits in two boxes, each the size of a studio apartment's shower, which can create a fully entangled 24-particle quantum state, thereby setting a new world record.

Thanks and congrats to all the contributors, including our partners from the University of Innsbruck, ETH Zürich, and Fraunhofer IOF!
The paper was covered, amongst others, by the Austrian newspaper Der Standard and by IEEE Spectrum.
